Turn away from twisted thoughts
they can only burn you.
Step away from calloused fire
for your days are few.
Though your world is made of sand
be happy while you can--
Rare is the gift of sight
or lovely dreams at night--
Precious is the gift possessed
in the palm of every human hand.
